Not Enough Time
A normal pregnancy is 40 weeks, for twins it is 37 weeks. For
Ronan and Julia their life in the outside world began after only
25 weeks and 3 days.
Ronan weighed just over 2 lbs. while Julia weighed only 1 lb. 9
oz. These tiny humans faced the daunting tasking of finishing
their development outside the womb, while fending off the many
issues that come with prematurity. They were so early that their
eyes were still fused shut and their skin translucent when they
were born.
Miracles do happen (with some hard work)
Today Ronan and Julia still face some health issues, but are
quickly becoming your "typical" toddlers. Julia loves her books,
numbers, water, and gettings into all sorts of trouble. Ronan
climbs on everything and loves to play with his toy trucks. Both
are very expressive and loving kids. We feel fortunate each and
every day. Yes we still have a long way to go, but we can see
the light at the end of the tunnel.
